How to Get All Curse Fragments (Withering Heights) in RuneScape Dragonwilds
RuneScape Dragonwilds Fellhollow expansion introduces a new main quest called Withering Heights, which will require players to explore the three new areas and retrieve the Curse Fragments. These Curse Fragments will later be required to challenge the main boss of the expansion, Imaru the Soul-Devourer. Here’s a complete guide on where to find all three Curse Fragments in RuneScape Dragonwilds and complete the Withering Heights quest in Fellhollow.

Soul Fragments are a new currency in the RuneScape Dragonwilds Fellhollow update, which you can exchange for exclusive items at a new vendor.
How to Get the Curse Fragment Grief from Emberwood in RuneScape Dragonwilds (Withering Heights)
The first Curse Fragment required for the Withering Heights quest in RuneScape Dragonwilds is located in Emberwood Village. However, you cannot retrieve the fragment just by walking into the village, as there’s an energy barrier blocking your access inside. Players will need to activate four different shrines scattered in the area to lift the barrier and enter the Emberwood Village.
Simply follow the locations listed on the map above, and you’ll activate all four shrines in Emberwood. Once all the shrines are activated, you’ll be able to lift the barrier and retrieve the Curse Fragment (Grief) from the Emberwood village.
How to Get the Curse Fragment Despair from Silverthorn Keep in RuneScape Dragonwilds (Withering Heights)
Players will need to climb the staircase that leads up to the Silverthorn Keep to get the second Curse Fragment (Despair) for the Withering Heights quest in RuneScape Dragonwilds Fellhollow. Simply start climbing from the location marked on the map above.
Make sure to restock some Air Runes before making the journey, as you’ll be using the Windstep ability a lot.
As you arrive at the starting location, you’ll spot broken steps that keep leading you higher and higher towards the large castle off in the distance called Silverthorn Keep. Make sure to time your Windstep jumps right to avoid falling to your death.
Once you make your way past the enemies and several hazards along the way, you’ll finally reach the top, where you’ll come face to face with a Green Dragon mini-boss. Players can either choose to fight the Green Dragon or simply run past it to grab the Cruse Fragment behind it.
Regardless of whether you choose to defeat the dragon or escape its attacks, you’ll be able to grab the second Curse Fragment Despair behind it.
How to Get the Curse Fragment Rage from Lake of Lost Souls in RuneScape Dragonwilds (Withering Heights)
To get the third Curse Fragment in Lake of Lost Souls for the Withering Heights quest in RuneScape Dragonwilds Fellhollow, you’ll need to head further up the area and reach the red waterfall northwest of the area. Make sure to avoid stepping into the water to avoid status effect buildup from Wither Rot.
Once you enter the waterfall, there’s a hidden cavern behind with a door to one of the new Dragonkin Vaults added in the Fellhollow expansion. Make sure to first place a Lodestone in front of the Dragonkin Vault so you can respawn at the entrance if you die inside.
Once you’re inside, follow the winding path until you come across a branching path with a boulder in the middle. You’ll need to take a left here and watch out for Dragon Wolves that are patrolling here.
Try to touch the Wither Rot on the ground to contract the Soul Rift status. This will reveal a soul bridge that will help you cross the gap and reach the other side. Once you’ve crossed the gap, simply remove the status effect by hitting the fountain.
After following the path for a while, you’ll take a right and enter a corridor with fire and spear traps. Carefully maneuver your way out of this place, and you’ll arrive in a large dark room with an inactive Spectral Door.
You’ll need to contract the Soul Rift status again by walking on Wither Rot water on the ground. Once you’ve received the status, the Spectral Door will activate, and you’ll be able to use it.
Walk through the Spectral Door into the shadow realm and exit out from the other side. As soon as you exit the shadow realm, you’ll be able to recover from the Soul Rift status after hitting the fountain.
The next section is a bit tricky, as falling down will cause you to restart the Dragonkin Vault from the start.
There’s a platforming section up ahead, and you’ll need to maneuver over to reach the higher platform with the Wither Rot scattered across the ground. Once you reach the top, contract the Soul Rift status once again and cross the Spectral Bridge to the other side.
There’s a large orc mini-boss in this area called Zogre, that you’ll need to take down before grabbing the last Curse Fragment.
He has a basic attack movement, which includes a spinning attack, a belly-flop AOE attack, and a rock throw. All these attacks are easily avoidable, but you need to watch out for Withered Souls that will try to attack you once you eventually build up the Soul Rift status.
Once you’ve finally defeated Zogre, you’ll be able to retrieve the third and final Curse Fragment (Rage). With all three collected, you’ll need to prepare for a boss fight with Imaru, the Soul-Devourer in Hope’s Fall Rise in RuneScape Dragonwilds Fellhollow. It’s going to be one tough boss fight, so it’s best that you farm some materials to completely kit up your character with Tier 5 gear and tools.
But, it’s only after defeating Imaru that you’ll complete Fellhollow’s main quest, Withering Heights in RuneScape Dragonwilds.
