How to Unlock the Nell’s Diner Easter Egg in Phasmophobia
Nell’s Diner is the newest map in Phasmophobia and happens to have an Easter egg, which will reward players with the Ghost in the Machine ID Card. However, this involves a puzzle using UV light, a safe, and multiple vending machines, so players will need help solving the Nell’s Diner Easter egg for Phasmophobia.
Setup & Requirements
Thankfully, this Easter egg can be completed on any difficulty, including custom difficulties, so feel free to make the ghost friendly and give your character infinite sprint.
Players will want to take a UV light with them, and a flashlight is always handy. It doesn’t matter which upgrades you have for them.
Finding the generator and turning all the lights on will help with this Easter egg.
Unlocking The Safe In Nell’s Diner
Players can enter through the side door, as this is closest to the manager’s office, which is the first room on the right. In this office, there is a safe that needs to be opened.
Solving The Safe Code
Above the safe, there is a Post-it board. Use a UV light to reveal three arrows on a note. These are down, up, and right.
The down arrow refers to a yellow road sign in the seating area of the diner. It points to the number 4.
The up arrow can be seen outside under the large sign for Nell’s Diner. It points toward the number 1.
The right arrow can be found on the wall down the side of the diner, and following it past some bins, it points to the number 5.
The code to the safe is therefore 415, and inside, there is a credit card that can be picked up.
Using The ATM & Vending Machines
With the credit card in hand, players will want to exit the manager’s office and turn right. Head all the way down the corridor, and through that door, turn left and keep walking to the ATM.
To use the ATM and vending machines, the electricity must first be turned on, so find the generator.
Put the card in the ATM by pressing F, and take the dollar bill that comes out. Turn around and put the dollar bill in the Mr. Sprinkle vending machine. A coin will drop onto the floor, and once again, this should be picked up.
Controls For Inserting The Card, Bill, & Coin
To insert these items, players cannot simply click as usual. The following controls must be used.

- PlayStation: L2
Put The Coin In The Arcade Machine
With the coin, head back toward the Manager’s office, but instead take the door to the left of it, which leads to a staff room. Inside, there is a black arcade machine, which can be turned on by clicking it. The game’s title, Lair of the Unliving, will then be displayed.
By putting the coin in the arcade machine, a skull will come out of it, and if players run outside, they will see a huge skeleton descend over the entire diner.

Finish The Contract To Unlock The Ghost In The Machine ID Card
Once the ghostly skeleton has appeared, players can hop back in the van and end the contract. It doesn’t matter if the ghost is correctly identified, but feel free to do so.
Upon finishing the contract, players should get a pop-up that they have unlocked the Ghost in the Machine ID Card for Phasmophobia, completing the Nell’s Diner Easter egg.
