The Epic Games Store has officially revealed Viewfinder as its free game for the December 29–30 period. This marks the 13th title of the storefront’s 2025 holiday giveaway, as well as the 16th overall freebie that Epic Games Store users have been able to claim since the turn of December.

The Fortnite maker’s digital marketplace gave away over $360 worth of PC titles between December 11 and 28. The two most recent freebies available to Epic Games Store users were Pokemon-like RPG Cassette Beasts and modern retro-style CRPG SKALD: Against the Black Priory, both published by Stockholm, Sweden-based Raw Fury.

Epic Games Store’s 13th Holiday Mystery Game Now Available To Claim

With the Epic Games Store’s SKALD giveaway now officially over, the holiday season promotion has moved to its next freebie: Viewfinder. The Portal-like puzzle platformer is free to claim for the next 24 hours, until December 30 at 8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CET. This short-lived offer marks the first time Viewfinder has been given away on the Epic Games Store, arriving shortly after Sony featured it in its PS Plus free game lineup for September 2025.

Created by Scottish developer Sad Owl Studios, Viewfinder is a minimalist puzzle platformer that tasks players with traversing compact but increasingly complex levels.
