Most ARC Raiders Players Have Never Seen This 1-of-a-Kind Gun Mod

By newsgame

Loot is a driving motivator in the gameplay loop for ARC Raiders, giving players a reason to head topside and brave the threat of ARC machines and other raiders. Some of the rarest loot in ARC Raiders includes weapons like the Aphelion, Jupiter, and the Equalizer along with their blueprints. While these weapons are rare enough on their own, perhaps the rarest item in ARC Raiders is an elusive gun mod and its blueprint that happens to be the only one of its kind currently in the game.

These Legendary weapons are powerful to be sure, but they can also be expensive to craft if players lose them while topside. As such, some of the best guns in ARC Raiders are the cheap but effective guns like the Ferro, Anvil, and Stitcher. However, to get the most out of the Anvil, players will want to equip it with the game’s lone Tech Mod, the Anvil Splitter, which is easier said than done due to the extreme rarity of the item and its blueprint.

ARC Raiders’ Anvil Splitter Legendary Tech Mod is Extremely Rare, and Its Blueprint is Even Rarer

Legendary quality items are the rarest tier of items in ARC Raiders. Currently, the Legendaries that are available include:

  • Aphelion — Battle Rifle
  • Equalizer — Energy Beam Gun
  • Jupiter — Bolt Action Sniper Rifle
  • Anvil Splitter — Tech Mod for the Anvil
  • Kinetic Converter — Stock Mod
  • Snap Hook — Gadget
  • Queen Core — Crafting Material

With so few Legendary items compared to other qualities in ARC Raiders, players are likely to rarely see all of these, if any, while scavenging topside. However, the Anvil Splitter is in a class of its own compared to the other Legendary items, making it a particularly notable Legendary.

Where to Find the Anvil Splitter and What it Does

The Anvil typically fires one round of Heavy Ammo per trigger pull. However, as the name implies, the Anvil Splitter splits each shot into 4 weaker projectiles, dealing 30% of the unmodified gun’s base damage. The benefit to using this Tech Mod is that it gives players a total of 120% damage across all 4 projectiles, which works well against large enemies like Leapers, Bastions, and other raiders at close range. The trade-off is that the Anvil now lacks the accuracy at a distance of the single-projectile shot it had before.

Finding the Anvil Splitter will likely be an exercise in frustration, as there is no definitive drop location for this Legednary Tech Mod. The best places to search are in high-value loot areas on Night Raids, specifically in breachable rooms and ARC Raiders‘ Security Lockers. Players who are lucky enough to find an Anvil Splitter blueprint will be able to craft the item indefinitely with this recipe:

The Anvil Splitter is Currently the Only Tech Mod in ARC Raiders

To make the Anvil Splitter even more unique, it is the only Tech Mod available to players in ARC Raiders. Players equipping the Anvil before queuing for a match might notice that it has two mod slots: one for a Muzzle Attachment and one for a Tech Mod. While there are several different rarities of Muzzle Attachments that can be equipped to the Anvil, the only attachment that can be equipped in the Tech Mod slot is the Anvil Splitter. As such, it’s likely that most ARC Raiders players will be running around with a single attachment on their Anvil unless they are one of the lucky few to find an Anvil Splitter while topside.

It’s possible that more Tech Mods could be added in a future ARC Raiders update. While the current Cold Snap update for ARC Raiders didn’t expand the available Tech Mod pool, the future of the game through 2026 and beyond is still unclear, and Embark will likely have some surprises in store for players that may make the game’s Tech Mod club less exclusive.
