By newsgame

As 2025 comes to a close, players have plenty of exciting new content to look forward to in Disney Dreamlight Valley, with 2026 set to introduce characters from decades-old classics including 1955’s Lady and the Tramp, 1995’s Pocahontas, and 1997’s Hercules. Disney Dreamlight Valley fans have seen multiple major updates to the game throughout 2025, and even more fresh content is slated to debut in the titular Valley to kick off the beginning of the New Year.

Developer Gameloft has already wrapped up its Disney Dreamlight Valley 2025 content roadmap, with the release of The Winter Ball and Dream Teams update on December 10. 2025 was a big year for Dreamlight Valley, as it saw the introduction of Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, and other legendary Disney films, along with content related to newer powerhouse releases like Inside Out. Fans can now start turning their attention to the future of Disney Dreamlight Valley with a refresher on what to expect in 2026, which includes three key updates coming completely free of charge.

What’s Coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley in 2026?

The official Disney Dreamlight Valley roadmap for 2026 was first revealed in October 2025, laying out key updates that will finally add some of the most highly-requested characters and franchises to the game. Starting off the year is the inclusion of the 70-year-old classic Lady and the Tramp, which is slated to join Disney Dreamlight Valley “early” in 2026. Next up will be the sometimes controversial yet often adored Pocahontas, coming in the springtime, and finally the Greek mythology-inspired Hercules will be making its way to Disney Dreamlight Valley in Summer 2026. Lady and the Tramp, Pocahontas, and Hercules will all be free updates, giving every player the opportunity to enjoy some of the most iconic and impactful characters from Disney’s catalog of animated films.

It is worth noting that Disney Dreamlight Valley has not technically fully confirmed that these franchises will be the ones coming to the game, namely due to the fact that the teaser images only make references to the films themselves but do not flat out name them. That said, the alleyway dinner table with a plate of spaghetti is undeniably Lady and the Tramp, and the statue of Phil from Hercules on a Grecian pillar is a less-than-subtle tease. Pocahontas could possibly have been missed by more casual fans, though any Disney aficionado would instantly recognize Pocahontas’ necklace and make the connection of a raccoon signifying her friend Meeko. Whether the protagonists themselves from these movies will be joining the lineup of characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley remains to be seen, but players are keeping their fingers crossed for even more friends to join the Valley.

Peter Pan (1953)

One particularly interesting detail about the Lady and the Tramp and Pocahontas teases for 2026 is that both have previously appeared on Disney Dreamlight Valley surveys asking fans for the franchises they would most like to see added to the game. Peter Pan was also included in one of those surveys, and that particular movie was already added to the game in 2025. As such, it may be worthwhile for players to keep a close eye on any future surveys released by Gameloft, as they may in fact include a look at the next updates coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley. Of course, audiences should always await official game announcements before getting too excited or fully expecting every franchise on a survey to eventually get added to the game, but the repeated inclusion of these survey choices in Disney Dreamlight Valley does reflect Gameloft’s desire to give the players what they want.
