Where To Find & Catch Meloetta in Pokemon Legends Z-A
To find
Meloettain Pokemon Legends Z-A, players need to complete the Main Story of the Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC, including Hyperspace Mission 12 – The Greatest Gift, Hyperspace Mission 13 – A Ruby-Red Legend, and Hyperspace Mission 14- A Sapphire-Blue Legend.
That means players will basically need to complete the Main Mission and the Post Game, catching Kyogre, Groudon, and finally Rayquaza, before going for the rest of the Legendaries, including Meloetta.
Now, with those missions completed, Corbeau will call players back to the Rust Syndicate to introduce Special Scans. Similar to the Infinite Royale Mechanics, the Special Scans are activated each time players gather 25000 Survey Points.

To get Meloetta players need to complete a round of accumulating Survey Points, then activate the Special Scan by talking to Phillipe in the Rust Sindicate.
Players will notice an Unknown Distortion has appeared somewhere in the map. It needs to be the Yellow Uknown Distortion, not the Red One (that’s a Battle Zone).
Now, players need to go there with a level 100+ Donut ready, then, save their game at the entrance of the Distortion. Players shouldn’t worry too much about the Day/Night Cycle (which resets regular Distortions) since this Special Wild Zone doesn’t move from the spot where it appears. The problem is: This Rift contains a random Pokemon from the non-cover Legendaries introduced in Mega Dimension.
So to get Meloetta, players will need to enter the rift and wait for Corbeau to speak to them. They will notice an animation where their character starts looking around, then receive a call from the Rust Syndicate to explain which Pokemon is nearby. If the Message says: ‘We are detecting Meloetta near you. Go and catch it!’ then its time to get looking.
Meloetta often spawns in the atrium of the ‘shops’ of Hyperspace Lumiose, it’s a long gallery, and the only entrance to a building players can find in this Distortion, so they cannot miss it. Sadly, Meloetta seems to be one of the Legendaries that is currently Shiny Locked, so there’s no chance to make it spawn by using a Sparkling Power Donut.
The good news is that this Pokemon is relatively easy to catch. Just remain hidden behind the entrance’s wall, then approach slowly when Meloetta is looking to the opposite side. Use an Ultra Ball and throw it away. In the worst-case scenario, players will have to weaken Meloetta slightly, but they shouldn’t miss their chance to catch it, lest they want to repeat the entire process from their last saved game.
