Diablo 4 Players Are Lowing The Difficulty for One Season 11 Boss

By newsgame

Diablo 4 players are deliberately lowering the difficulty of the summoned Azmodan boss fight for Season 11. This is due to an apparent oversight from Blizzard that makes Diablo 4 Season 11 progression a lot faster by grinding this particular boss fight on a lower difficulty. Players are taking advantage of this just in case Blizzard fixes it for the rest of the season, although this isn’t guaranteed to happen.

Diablo 4 Season 11 launched earlier this month, bringing Divine Gifts and Sanctification as the main seasonal mechanics. However, the most significant addition was the Paladin class, which was made available exclusively to players who pre-ordered the upcoming Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred expansion. After the popular Season 10, the pre-release Season 11 PTR wasn’t exactly the most popular among the community. However, the addition of the Paladin has helped turn around public sentiment about the Season of Divine Intervention, which is proving very popular with players. But despite the new content being well-received, players are still searching for the quickest ways to skip the seasonal grind and rapidly put together the best Diablo 4 Season 11 builds.

Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred’s Biggest Change is Hidden in Plain Sight

Diablo 4’s upcoming Lord of Hatred expansion hides arguably its biggest change in plain sight.

Diablo 4 Players Are Deliberately Fighting Azmodan on Normal – Here’s Why

At the start of Diablo 4 Season 11, players have noticed that the best way to farm Azmodan is by fighting him on Normal difficulty. This means that there has been a surge of high-level players, who could easily dominate on Torment 4 difficulty, jumping ship to Normal worlds to grind Azmodan. This is because leveling Azmodan’s Divine Gift is part of the seasonal journey, and many players just want to get it done as quickly as possible. Maxing the Divine Gift takes 300 kills in total, with each one granting five points of progress towards it. The main thing here is that Blizzard has made it so that this progress is the same, regardless of the difficulty at which Azmodan is killed. This means that killing Azmodan on Normal difficulty just makes sense, because it ends up being much faster, especially when players need to kill him 300 times in total.

300 is a lot of Azmodan kills to max out his Divine Gift in Diablo 4 Season 11. It makes sense that players, particularly experienced ones, are just looking to get the grind out of the way in any way possible. Azmodan’s Essence of Sin Divine Gift is particularly important throughout Season 11. For example, players will be dropped more Activity Keys when reaching Rank 5 of Essence of Sin, so players who want to take part in a lot of the game’s activities should definitely be looking to grind it out.

The appearance of these high-level players in Normal worlds has definitely confused some, but the explanation is pretty simple. It’s not clear at the moment whether Blizzard plans to further balance the Divine Gift leveling for Azmodan in Diablo 4. It’s not exactly a massive exploit, but it does mess with the leveling balance slightly.

Beyond Season 11, Blizzard is gearing up to release Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred next year. It follows the Vessel of Hatred expansion, which launched last year, and should be the next significant content drop for the game. Blizzard has already given players a sneak peek of what to expect from the expansion by releasing the Paladin to pre-ordering players early. However, Lord of Hatred is also introducing a second new class, which some speculate to be the Witch Doctor. However, it’s unlikely that the developer will unveil the second new class for a while yet, and fans will need to stay tuned over the next few months to see what Blizzard has planned.
