Legacy of Atlantis Right Now

By newsgame

Tomb Raider fans have been spoiled as of late, whether it be the Netflix animated series releasing its second season, the Amazon live-action show picking up steam, or the two new games that were announced at The Game Awards. The first of these two titles, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, is even offering a throwback wetsuit attire for its leading lady, and it can be unlocked right now through Amazon Games.

While 2027’s Tomb Raider: Catalyst is a fully new game that picks up where the Legend trilogy left off, fans will be getting to experience a “new” entry in the franchise much sooner. In 2026, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will launch, which re-imagines the first entry in the franchise with “modern game design” and “new surprises” mixed in. While players can expect to fight dinosaurs, explore locations like Peru and Egypt, and wield Lara Croft’s iconic pistols as opposed to the Survivor saga’s bow, there’s certainly room for Crystal Dynamics to shake things up with this Unreal Engine 5 remake. Based on how the wetsuit is obtained, fresh methFods of unlocking outfits is one such possibility.

Lara Croft has donned tons of beloved outfits across her many video game appearances, with a few fan favorites being:

  • Tomb Raider 2’s Bomber Jacket
  • Tomb Raider 3’s Antarctica Look
  • Chronicles’ Catsuit
  • Angel of Darkness’ Denim
  • Legend’s Tokyo Dress
  • Rise’s Siberian Ranger

So far, Rise of Atlantis is only confirmed to include her classic light blue shirt and shorts design alongside the wetsuit. Intriguingly, Lara didn’t wear a wetsuit until Tomb Raider 2, as the original game lacked underwater levels. The TR2 design isn’t the one being used for this unlockable wetsuit, either, as Crystal Dynamics is instead pulling the look from Underworld. From the holsters on Lara’s legs to the yellow stripe going down the side of the wetsuit, it’s a spot-on recreation of the Mediterranean Sea design from the 2008 classic. Fortunately, unlocking the costume is a breeze and will only take a few minutes.

Anyone that doesn’t want to miss out on this extra costume should make sure they have an Amazon Games iD account created. If they don’t, they can create one by clicking here. From there, players will want to make sure their account is linked to the platform they’re planning to play Legacy of Atlantis on. So long as players have their Steam, Xbox, or PSN accounts linked to their Amazon Games iD, the Wetsuit will be waiting for them in-game as soon as they load up the remake.

It seems like players do NOT have to pre-order to get this skin, so even if they plan on waiting a bit before they pick up Legacy of Atlantis, it’s worth prepping an Amazon Games iD.

It’s certainly interesting that Crystal Dynamics chose this particular outfit to be its first alternate costume for unified Lara. It likely doesn’t have anything to do with the game’s content, as if there were underwater segments added, surely the wetsuit wouldn’t be locked away behind the iD program (though perhaps the TR2 wetsuit could be used for such segments if they were to be added). Instead, the real takeaway is that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis could offer a range of iconic Lara Croft costumes from across the entire franchise. Since it’s pulling one look straight from Underworld, there’s nothing stopping the remake from gathering the best of the best looks from across Lara’s entire career.

Perhaps even the red scarf look from 2027’s Tomb Raider: Catalyst will be unlockable as a teaser of sorts, though this is purely speculation. Regardless, with the two trailers, some details on the official website, this wetsuit, and confirmation of Lara Croft’s new voice, fans have plenty to discuss and look forward to.
