How to Get Mega Golurk In Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC
Mega
Golurkcan be obtained by challenging Rogue Mega Golurk in 4-Star Unknown Mega Stone Distortions (Yellow Distortions) that appear all over Lumiose. Players who have purchased the Mega Dimension DLC and have completed at least the Third Hyperspace Lumiose Survey mission will be able to see this Distortion popping up on the map at random.
Players can ‘kill time’ on a bench or their Hotel Room to reset all the Distortions in the map, making it easier to spot Rogue Mega Evolution Distortions, or Side Quests.
Once players enter the right Distortion, they’ll see Mega Golurk waiting over a hill. It’s quite imposing, and make sure not to bring Bug or Rock-types to the fight, and neither Fighting, Normal, Electric, or Poison, as those types don’t do any damage to it.
Instead, bring out a decent Dark-type Fast Attacker, like Mega Absol Z, and watch out for Phantom Force, since Mega Golurk likes to spam this move, and it’s the Ghost-type equivalent to Dig, so it becomes untargetable.
It has a ton of HP, so be patient and chip it down, dodging its attacks and healing Pokemon when necessary. Once it falls, players will be able to get a Golurkite to Mega Evolve their Golurks.
Is Mega Golurk Any Good In Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension PvP & PvE?
Mega Golurk has a BST of 583, which is close to Pseudo-Legendary levels, but not close enough for the purposes of making it useful in PvP. Sadly, this massive golem-like Pokemon is one of the Slowest of the roster, and loses the battle against the deadly meta picks that like to strike fast and hard (like Mega
AbsolZ, Mega
Gengar, even Mega
Tyranitaroutspeeds Mega Golurk).
Its stats couldn’t be any worse: A massive boost to Physical Attack, but no HP, and little Def and Sp. Def to sustain a bulky physical attacker. So, at the end of the day, it suffers from PSD (Poor Stat Distribution).

To compensate for it, players should pick the following EV Spread: 252 Attack / 252 HP or Def / 4 Speed, or 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Sp. Def. For nature, the optimal is Jolly, to compensate for its lack of speed. And since it’s a Physical Attacker, it doesn’t need extra Special Attack.
The ideal moveset for Mega Golurk consists of Phantom Force, Earthquake, Shadow Punch, and Scorching Sands. Some like to build it with Dynamic Punch for extra damage or Drain Punch to add sustain.
