This is where ARC Raiders‘ Expedition mechanic comes into play, allowing players to essentially wipe their current character and prestige, starting from scratch with a new character that comes with certain bonuses.

Projects are unlocked once a player hits level 20, so they can prepare for an Expedition from any point after that. It may not always be worth undertaking an Expedition for ARC Raiders players since it requires players to give up all progress on their current character. However, players who embark on an Expedition in ARC Raiders will earn special buffs that last throughout the duration of the current Expedition Project cycle.

ARC Raiders Lets Players Prestige with Expeditions, But at a Steep Price

As such, players can expect that most Expedition rewards will involve cosmetics and quality-of-life upgrades.

What ARC Raiders Players Lose From an Expedition

In general, the things that players unlock with ARC Raiders‘ premium currency, such as the Raider Deck or cosmetics purchased with Raider Tokens, won’t be reset by going on an Expedition. Other progression-related features like Codex Entries and ARC Raiders‘ maps will also stay. However, some aspects of player progression, such as skill points, player level, blueprints, and any upgrades unlocked through gameplay, will be reset.

Whether it’s worth going on an Expedition in ARC Raiders largely comes down to how a player wants to approach the game. Investing the resources needed to complete an Expedition Project is a massive undertaking, but it could be the perfect goal for players who feel like they’ve experienced everything ARC Raiders has to offer so far. Additionally, if players are looking to try out a new ARC Raiders build, then wiping their current character with an Expedition is the only way to reset their skill tree.

On the other hand, more casual players may not want to suffer the grind of starting from scratch again after having invested so much time and effort into extracting with ARC Raiders‘ rare loot like blueprints.
