Gimmighoul is a Ghost-type Pokemon introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. However, thanks to the new Pokedex additions for the Mega Dimension DLC in Pokemon Legends Z-A, you can get yourself this Coin Chest Pokemon as soon as you start the new content.

This guide will cover how to add Gimmighoul to your team in Pokemon Legends: Z-A and how to evolve it into Gholdengo.

The Mega Dimension DLC for Pokemon Legends Z-A allows your party members to go beyond level 100. Here’s all you need to know about this.

Chat with Thelo

You can easily get a Gimmighoul in the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokemon Legends: Z-A by starting the ‘Let’s Golden Gooooo!’ Side Mission. To find the NPC for this one, go to the blue exclamation point in Rouge Sector 1 (south of Wild Zone 3/north of Wild Zone 20).

You’ll find Thelo, who will just straight up give you a Gimmighoul for free (it’ll be at level 5). However, to actually complete Side Mission 122, you will need to evolve Gimmighoul into Gholdengo.

Coin Hunting

Gimmighoul won’t evolve into Gholdengo until players manage to collect a whopping 999 Gimmighoul Coins. This may sound like a lot, but Thelo will hand over 413 coins from the jump, making the process much easier for players.

Pocket Dimensions are the Answer

To find Gimmighoul Coins, you will need to enter the Hyperspace Wild Zones littered across the city (the locations reset each day) and pick up the yellow sparkling items on the ground. The coins can only be found in these pocket dimensions and not in the regular version of Lumiose City.

We managed to find about 50 Gimmighoul Coins by running around three of the Hyperspace Wild Zones, so as long as you organically pick up the shiny items, you should be able to get 999 coins in a couple of runs.

Once you have the coins in your inventory, the evolution icon will appear over Gimmighoul’s profile icon, allowing you to finally evolve it into the Steel/Ghost-type, Gholdengo.
