How to Get Free Perks in Astra Malorum (Black Ops 7)

By newsgame

You can get 4 free perks in Astra Malorum for Black Ops 7 Zombies, and the steps are relatively easy and simple enough that you can get these freebies in one game, as soon as you have the Pack-a-Punch machine turned on! Below, we’ve outlined a step-by-step process on how you can easily get 4 free perks in Astra Malorum.

These perks are all Mystery Perks, meaning they’re entirely random based on what you do not yet have. This is a great way to get extra perks for cheap when you’re saving up for upgrades, and it is so simple to do that it should be essential for every run of Astra Malorum going forward, and here’s how.

Astra Malorum Easter Egg Walkthrough – CoD BO7

Here’s an easy step-by-step guide that will take you through the entire main easter egg quest for Astra Malorum in Black Ops 7 Zombies!

How to Get a Free Perk #1 in Astra Malorum

The first free perk that you can get is within the Museum Infinitum, the same room as the Speed Cola machine. Once you are here, look to the west wall, where you will find a vinyl music disc on a wooden pillar. Simply run towards the pillar and jump twice to wall jump, and then interact with the disk to grab it.

With the disc acquired, you can now interact with a gramophone that can be found in the northwest area of Museum Infinitum, right next to the Carbon 57 wall-buy. Once you interact with the gramophone, music will play, and you will have to kill enough zombies with your melee weapon. Doing so will charge souls into the gramophone and drop a Mystery Perk.

How to Get a Free Perk #2 in Astra Malorum

Within The Luminarium, you can find a music disc sitting on a shelf when facing the east wall that leads outside. This is directly opposite Jugger-Nog, and the shelves are in the dark, so we’ve provided an image above of where you can find it.

With the disc now claimed, you will find a gramophone in the northwest area of The Luminarum between two couches. Once you interact with the gramophone and music plays, you will need to kill zombies with your Field Upgrade. However, this has to be a Field Upgrade that kills zombies, like Dark Flare, and not one like Frenzied Guard. After enough kills, a Mystery Perk will be spat out.

How to Get a Free Perk #3 in Astra Malorum

This free perk can be found in the Machina Astralis area. Locate the northeast corner of the room, where you will find a clock and a cabinet that’s covered in a tarp. In the corner is a wooden box with a music disc that you can interact with.

Now, head into the Archive of Orbis where Stamin-Up is located, and opposite Stamin-Up is a table with a gramophone. Once you interact with the gramophone and music plays, you will need to kill zombies with equipment. Semtex Grenades are great, and the gramophone will spit out Lethal Equipment for you to use. Killing enough zombies grants a Mystery Perk!

How to Get a Free Perk with the Skulls Easter Egg in Astra Malorum

There’s a fourth random perk that can be obtained in Astra Malorum, and it involves finding and shooting 5 different skulls with a Pack-a-Punch weapon, then picking them up when their eyes turn purple. Here are the locations of each skull:

  • Museum Infinitum – Within a display case when facing west.
  • The Luminarium – On the floor when facing southwest, by the crumbled red brick wall.
  • Stargazer’s Courtyard – In a hole on the floor when facing southeast, just to the left of the ammo crate.
  • Machina Astralis – At the north wall in an open cabinet, opposite The Arsenal.
  • The Veilwalk – Found when facing north and looking at the red brick wall.

With all 5 skulls acquired, there will be a desk in the northeast area of Machina Astralis. You can place each of the skulls on this desk, but they must be placed within the exact order which we’ve shown in the gameplay below: 4, 3, 2, 1, 5.

Doing so correctly will see the skulls float and spin in the air, one at a time. You will need to remember which order the skulls spin, and then shoot them in the correct order for your game. After shooting them in the correct order, the skulls will merge and become a Random Perk Power-Up!
