Astra Malorum Easter Egg Walkthrough – CoD BO7

Here’s an easy step-by-step guide that will take you through the entire main easter egg quest for Astra Malorum in Black Ops 7 Zombies!

How to Start the Planet Alignment Step in Astra Malorum

You’ll need to progress far enough into the main easter egg of Astra Malorum by first obtaining the LGM-1, and then grabbing Dr. Thurston’s Brain and placing it in the Perfusion Machine at the Machina Astralis. After, you’ll want to complete the books puzzle (detailed here). With the books puzzle complete, a trap door will open in the ceiling of the Archive of Orbis at the west wall. You can climb a ladder to look inside the trap door, and interact with the orb to grab the Planet Neptune model.

With the Planet Neptune, return to the Machina Astralis room, where you can now interact with an empty planetarium slot that is found up the stairs when facing the Sun from the southeast. This will place Neptune into the slot and activate the planetarium, where you must now align the planets in a specific order.

All Papers Locations in Astra Malorum

With the planetarium activated, it’s time to align the planets in the correct order. However, the order of alignment is random for every game, but the instructions on how to do it remain the same. To start, you’ll need to find three unique pieces of paper that have the same spawns in every game, but the direction and planet are different:

Planet Paper #1 – Machina Astralis

planet paper 2

From inside the Machina Astralis room, you will want to face south to locate a small desk that contains a piece of paper with a planet and a set of directions. This is on the same central floor where the Mystery Box can be.

Planet Paper #2 – Archive of Orbis

planet paper 3

Inside the Archive of Orbis, where Stamin-Up is located, you’ll find a central table in the room. At the back end of this table is another piece of paper containing a planet and a set of directions.

Planet Paper #3 – The Luminarum

Enter The Luminarum, where Jugger-Nog is located, and then enter the room that houses the trap. Inside this room, on the northwest wall, is a coffee table that contains the piece of paper with a planet and directions.

How to Solve the Planet Alignment Puzzle in Astra Malorum (& Get to Mars)

aligning the planets

Now that you have located all three pieces of paper, you’ll want to note the planet and the direction. The planets can be Saturn, Neptune, or Mars, and the directions will be the initials of North (N), North West (NW), North East (NE), East (E), South (S), South East (SE), South West (SW), and West (W).

You’ll need to enter the Machina Astralis room and look up at the solar system model in the center of the room. Underneath the Sun, you’ll see directions like a compass, and you will need to shoot the planets on your paper so that they’re aligned with the direction on the compass.

After shooting each correct planet in the direction shown on your pieces of paper, you can interact with Dr. Thurston’s Brain to immediately begin a lockdown encounter. This will summon O.S.C.A.R. to the Machina Astralis room, and your objective is to survive the encounter while the portal charges. You must defend the portal from O.S.C.A.R., who will shoot UFOs that will attempt to explode the portal. Keep running around the room to avoid O.S.C.A.R. and the zombies, and watch the portal for floating UFOs that begin to approach it.

After the portal has fully charged, you will immediately be sucked into it, where you will find yourself teleported onto Mars. You can now use Mars as a central spot for training, or proceed with the easter egg. In order to leave Mars (and return at any time), pick up Dr. Thurston’s Brain that sits in the center, and place him into the altar where you teleported in. There’s now a teleporter that takes you back to Machina Astralis.
