Diablo 4 Season 11’s Best Barbarian Build Only Needs 1 Unique to Be Overpowered
After a series of mediocre build options in the past few Diablo 4 seasons, Barbarians have a bright future in Season 11. Despite losing access to Chaos Armor when Diablo 4 Season 11 starts, the Barbarian class is poised to be a top contender in the meta thanks to its new Unique. Barbarian players looking for a fast, powerful build in the upcoming season have a clear choice, and it requires very little investment to become completely broken.
Barbarians are typically known for rotating through Shouts to buff themselves and debuff enemies before unleashing heavy-hitting attacks. Most of the best Barbarian builds in Diablo 4 utilize some combination of War Cry, Challenging Shout, and Rallying Cry with either single-target or AoE damaging skills as the core setup of their hot bar. However, Diablo 4 Season 11 takes these essentials and strips them down to their bare bones for an S-Tier Barbarian build that is surprisingly fast while still being able to tank enemy hits.
LeapQuake Barbarians Can Quickly Become Broken Thanks to a New Diablo 4 Season 11 Unique
The LeapQuake Barbarian has been around since Diablo 4 first launched, but has been very inconsistent in its usability from season to season. This build leans into the Leap skill’s mobility to consistently reposition and Ground Stomp to spread Earthquake damage around the screen. With the Aspect of Earthquake and Executioner’s Aspect added to this build, the players can add an extra AoE damage punch to the end of each Leap. The only problem is Leap’s cooldown, which is a non-factor thanks to the new Chainscourged Mail Unique in Season 11.
The Barbarian’s New Chainscourged Mail Unique Pants Carry this Build
-
Chainscourged Mail Unique Pants
- +65 All Stats
- +457 Maximum Life
- 8.8% Cooldown Reduction
- +3 to Brawling Skills
- Unique Affix: Casting a damaging Brawling Skill disables it afterwards. When all of these Skills that are on your Action Bar are disabled, they become re-enabled with their Cooldowns refreshed. Your Brawling Skills deal 50-100%[x] increased damage for each disabled Skill.
At a glance, it seems like the Chainscourged Mail’s ability to disable Brawling Skills after they are used would put the Barbarian at a disadvantage. However, if the player only has one damaging Brawling Skill on their hot bar, then this Unique Affix should allow it to become instantly re-enabled. While players won’t get much of a boost from having multiple skills disabled, the trade-off of being able to spam Leap with no cooldown far outweighs a temporary damage increase.
The key to making the LeapQuake Barbarian so powerful in Diablo 4 Season 11 with the Chainscourged Mail is limiting the number of damaging Brawling Skills equipped while increasing the opportunities for Earthquakes to trigger. To this end, Barbarian players will want to invest in these skills:
- Leap
- Ground Stomp
- Rallying Cry
- War Cry
- Challenging Shout
- Call of the Ancients
The three Shouts on the hot bar are there to fill their usual role of buffing the Barbarian and debuffing enemies. Leap is the primary skill players will want to spam, as it enables the Barbarian to be far more mobile than ever before. Ground Stomp serves as one potential trigger for Earthquakes with the Aspect of Earthquakes on a Legendary. The other trigger for Earthquake comes from the Executioner’s Aspect, which spawns an Earthquake whenever the player Overpowers an enemy.
Call of the Ancients is the Ultimate Skill of choice for this build, since it gives the Barbarian further AoE damage, as well as a 30% damage increase from its Prime upgrade. The combat loop of this build then becomes buffing and debuffing with Shouts, then constantly using Leap to get around the battlefield and evade enemies while triggering Earthquake as much as possible to melt enemy health bars. While other Uniques like the Mantle of Mountain’s Fury can help support this build, only the Chainscourged Mail is required to make LeapQuake Barbarians overpowered.
