Diablo 4 Season 11’s Best Necromancer Leveling Build is a 3-for-1 Deal

By newsgame

Leveling up quickly at the start of a new Diablo 4 season is always a struggle for players wanting to get into the new endgame content as soon as possible. Diablo 4 Season 11 is giving players even more challenges to tackle once they’ve leveled up their build, including the new Tower competitive dungeon and Lesser Evil invasions throughout Sanctuary. Luckily, the best leveling build for Season 11 is getting a new tool that should make it three times as effective.

Historically, the Minion Necromancer has been one of Diablo 4‘s best leveling builds simply because it pays to have multiple minions supporting the player at lower levels. This build also puts players in a great position to transition to the endgame, since sacrificing one or more types of minions can empower the remaining minions and the build overall. Now, Diablo 4 Season 11 makes this type of build all the more appealing with the introduction of the Gravebloom Unique Mace that puts the Necromancer’s Golem in the spotlight.

Diablo 4 Necromancers Can Summon 3 Times the Golems in Season 11

The typical setup for a Minion Necromancer leveling build involves using a mix of Skeletal Warriors, Skeletal Mages, and a Golem, alongside skills like:

  • Reap
  • Soulrift
  • Blight
  • Corpse Tendrils

While Minion Necromancer builds tend to put the player in a more passive role and let the summons do most of the damage, players can support their minions with these skills. Blight helps spread pools that damage enemies over time, and Corpse Tendrils is useful for pulling foes into Blight pools or into range for their minions to handle. Soulrift is usually the Necromancer’s Ultimate Skill of choice for this type of build, since it adds Vulnerable to enemies and gives the Necromancer a bonus damage multiplier. However, Season 11’s new Gravebloom Unique makes a different Ultimate preferable.

Gravebloom Unique Mace is Perfect for Minion Necromancer Builds

  • Gravebloom Unique Mace

    • 10% Attack Speed
    • +94 Intelligence
    • +457 Maximum Life
    • +50.0% Chance for Golem to Hit Twice
    • +2 Golem Mastery
    • Unique Affix: You raise 3 smaller Golems that each deal 40-60% of normal damage and gain 30%[+] Attack Speed. Your Golems respawn 50% faster.

What makes the Gravebloom so tantalizing for Necromancers is that it trades a single Golem for three smaller ones, albeit at only 60% of their power. However, with three total Golems at 60% power, Necromancers overall get 180% of their singular Golem’s power with this Unique. Add in the chance for each Golem to hit twice and +2 to Golem Mastery, and the Gravebloom is designed to make summoned Golems the star of Minion Necromancer builds in Diablo 4 Season 11.

Minion Necromancer with the Gravebloom is the Best Leveling Build in Diablo 4 Season 11

Diablo 4 Necromancer Cropped

The script is flipped somewhat for Minion Necromancer builds in Diablo 4 Season 11. In Season 10, the best Minion Necromancer builds sacrificed their Golems and Skeletal Warriors and made Skeletal Mages the focus. With Gravebloom thrown into the mix, Necromancers will want to take the opposite approach and sacrifice their other minions to empower their three Golems. Doing so allows players to take advantage of another Necromancer Unique in the Lidless Wall shield.

With both the Gravebloom and Lidless Wall equipped, players will want to utilize Bone Storm as the Necromancer’s Ultimate Skill. Lidless Wall increases the power of Bone Storm by 25% for each sacrifice bonus the player has active, and Bone Storm spawns not only around the player, but their Golem as well. Having triple the number of Golems active means Bone Storm can be spread far and wide for screen-clearing AoE damage that can quickly slay monsters for an easy grind to max level.
