ARC Raiders Players Are Calling for Embark to Patch This Game-Breaking Exploit
The ARC Raiders community appears to be fed up with the game’s infamous locked door glitch, which has been running rampant in Embark Studios’ new third-person extraction shooter for the last few weeks now. While Embark has released a steady stream of updates for ARC Raiders since its launch in late October, the studio has failed to rectify one of its biggest issues, at least at the time of writing this article. Players had put up with it for so long, but the community is now calling for the team to either fix the exploit or start banning those who make use of it.
As an extraction shooter, ARC Raiders is all about looting and acquiring some of the best gear in the game. There are, of course, multiple different ways to do that. Whether it’s killing ARC enemies, eliminating other players, completing quests, or looting high-value locations, players have a wide array of options to choose from. Some of the most valuable loot in ARC Raiders is behind locked doors, accessible only with keys. This means finding a key to a locked location is like striking gold, as it can allow players to access sections of the map that others can’t reach. Unfortunately, things aren’t quite working out that way right now, as an exploit has been spoiling the fun for many weeks.

ARC Raiders Fans Are Fed Up With the Locked Door Glitch
The locked door glitch in ARC Raiders has been ruining players’ experience for the last few weeks, allowing those without the right keys to access parts of the map they shouldn’t be able to. There have been a few ways to achieve this, but many have been patched. Apart from one, which requires a player to run into the locked door while their teammate pushes them from behind, eventually phasing them through the door and allowing them to open it from the other side. This game-breaking exploit has caused quite the controversy among the community, and many are calling for it to be fixed as soon as possible. Some, such as content creator Klean, are even calling for Embark to ban those who are using the exploit while Embark investigates a potential fix.
There are several reasons this exploit is harmful to the community. The first is that this is obviously not how Embark wants their game to be played, as it completely eliminates the need to loot for keys and can ruin the flow of a raid if everybody rushes to one specific location to try to pull off the glitch. It also puts legitimate players who aren’t exploiting at risk of losing their hard-earned keys. Sure, they may have a safe pocket, but if it’s occupied by something more valuable, they’ll head into a raid and risk losing their key, only to find the room they are going to has already been looted by players without a key.
Embark has released several new updates to ARC Raiders over the last few weeks, patching over issues, addressing bugs, and adding new content to the game. But, for some reason, this glitch remains untouched. It’s possible that the studio is simply struggling to find a fix for the locked door exploit, but there’s no way it hasn’t been made aware of the problem, as the entire community has been discussing it for weeks now.
While there has still been no word from Embark on the matter, the studio has confirmed that a big new update will be dropping in December, so there’s hope that it will be fixed in the coming weeks. According to the ARC Raiders 2025 Roadmap, the studio will be adding a new Snowfall Map Condition, an event known as Flickering Flames, a new Raider Deck for players to level up and unlock new cosmetics, new quests, and more.
