Thousands of PC gamers are reporting major issues accessing the Epic Games Store on November 26. The Epic Games Store is Steam’s chief competitor, with Epic Games going above and beyond to draw users to its platform. Not only has Epic Games secured a variety of EGS exclusives over the years, but it has also given away a ton of free games in the process.
The Epic Games Store has hundreds of millions of users, so it’s understandable that people might be concerned when there are issues with the platform. Unfortunately, the Epic Games Store is currently in the midst of an outage that is keeping users from fully enjoying its services.
Epic Games Store Reveals New Free Game for November 27
The Epic Games Store officially announces the contents of its November 27 giveaway, while kicking off another week-long promo offering 2 freebies.
It’s hard to say at this point how widespread the issues are, but thousands of Epic Games Store users have gone to Down Detector to report problems with launcher. Personally, it appears to be working on my end, but there are definitely enough reports to indicate that it is a fairly big issue. In any case, it seems likely that the issues currently plaguing the Epic Games Store are the same ones impacting Epic’s various games, with powerhouse Fortnite even among those that are down at the time of this writing.
Is the Epic Games Store Down Right Now?
Fortnite‘s login issues are ongoing, as are the problems with titles like Rocket League and Fall Guys. Hopefully the issues with the Epic Games Store are resolved sooner rather than later. In the meantime, Epic Games Store users set a reminder for themselves to claim the latest free games when everything is back up and running and to pop back in on November 27 when the lineup of freebies is refreshed.
