Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – How To Romance Rosa
This guide will walk players through each step of romancing Rosa in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
However, romancing Katherine in KCD2 is not easy and will require players to reach one of the last main quests in the story. Throughout the game, Henry will need to stay in her good books, flirt when possible, and complete the important side quest, The Fifth Commandment.
Updated on March 17th, 2026, by Joe Grantham: With Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 now available on Xbox Game Pass, more players can step into medieval Bohemia and flirt with as many characters as they like. As Katherine is one of the most popular romance options, this guide has been updated to include more details and advice to help players decide if she is the one for their Henry. KCD2 is very much a dynamic world, and choices often lead to new experiences while locking players out of other options.
Should You Romance Katherine In KCD2?
Before explaining how, players may want to think about whether they should romance Katherine in KCD2, as there are a few downsides. For example, players will be locked out of the following:
- Fully romancing Hans as both romances conclude during the same endgame mission.
- The secret Theresa ending, as you’re not allowed to romance anyone, in order to return to Henry’s original sweetheart.
However, you can still romance other characters such as Rosa and Klara. Even with Hans or Katherine, it’s still possible to grow closer, flirt, and complete additional objectives without fully going through with both of them.
An additional point is that Katherine is close with Jan Zizka, so by Henry romancing her, another relationship is possibly being denied, although, for what it’s worth, Zizka does grant his blessing. It’s also worth pointing out that the romance with Katherine concludes much later on, so if new players aren’t sure they will follow through with the entire game, they may not want to rule out earlier options such as Klara. As Katherine is met early on, though, it is certainly a rewarding romance between her and Henry.
Flirting With Katherine & Skill Checks In KCD2
To eventually romance Katherine toward the end of the game, Henry will need to maintain a good reputation with her and succeed in flirting where possible.
Stay at the Hangman’s Halter Tavern in Kuttenberg while Katherine works there for more opportunities to talk.
Always talk to her if there is an option, and try to select the dialogue choices that she will prefer. Sometimes, this will involve skill checks, which depend on Henry’s stats. Don’t expect to romance Katherine as an unwashed nobody. It’s also best to generally be a good person around her. In other words, don’t murder a bunch of burghers in front of her.
How To Improve Henry’s Chances With Katherine
As a truly immersive RPG, dialogue choices and actions aren’t enough. To have the best chance of romancing characters in KCD2, including Katherine, Henry will need to improve his game.
- Boost Charisma by wearing nice clothes, cleaning, and wearing perfume.
- Improve Henry’s Speech by talking to more people and reading skill books for Speech.
- Improve Henry’s Scholarship by reading books.

The Fifth Commandment Side Quest Is Vital For Romancing Katherine In KCD2
One requirement to romance Katherine is to complete The Fifth Commandment side quest. This mission, which involves tracking down a serial killer, can be started by talking to Katherine at the Hangman’s Halter Tavern in Kuttenberg.
Throughout the quest, always try to side with Katherine, especially when talking as three with Lumir. One way to gain a significant amount of reputation with her is to allow Katherine to end the murderer’s life.
This is a timed quest and must be completed before the main story progresses away from Kuttenberg as Katherine moves. Jan Zizka will thankfully warn players of this.
Protecting Katherine From The Stalker In KCD2
As part of the Lion’s Den main story quest for KCD2, Katherine will move to Sigismund’s camp under the guise of a baithmaid. To improve their chances of romancing her, players will want to check on Katherine, as she has an important task for Henry.
This is The Stalker task, where Henry must keep watch over Katherine until the Cuman known as Chakan turns up. Players should try to peacefully convince him to leave Katherine alone and then tell her that all is ok.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – How to Romance Black Bartosch
Black Bartosch is one of the romanceable characters in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and players can use this guide to learn how to romance him.
Before being sent with Sam to escape the castle during the Reckoning quest, Jan Zizka will offer to tell Henry something about Katherine’s past. After listening, players can then find her crying by the wounded soldiers. If players have a high enough reputation with her, a dialogue option with a heart will appear.
- I’ll bring help, and everything will be alright again.
If this option doesn’t appear, players have failed at romancing Katherine during this playthrough.
Some players have reported that romancing Hans locks you out of romancing Katherine.
For those who do have this dialogue option, don’t worry that the romance scene doesn’t trigger right away. For this, players will need to head up to the ramparts and choose to wait. In other words, follow the main objective marker for the quest. Beware that there is some nudity in the following cutscene.
