How to Make and Move a Water Source in Pokopia
At the beginning of Pokemon Pokopia, all you can do is manipulate existing water sources, but as you progress, you’ll discover that you can also use the Suck ability or down a drink to make a water source. This is very handy to know when trying to alter the landscape, as you can also move and remove a water source to create a layout to your liking, make specific Habitats easier, and increase the humidity of a Pokemon’s Habitat. Below, we’ve explained the entire process of how to make and move a water source in Pokemon Pokopia.

How to Make a Water Source in Pokopia
There are two ways to make a water source in Pokopia:
- Use the Suck ability to inhale water
- Use a drink to fill your Ditto with water
You get the Suck ability from Paldean Wooper in the Bleak Beach area (spawning from the Marshy Tall Grass Habitat), but you can only learn Suck after Piplup gives you the “Make a Waterfall” request — and Piplup only does this once you’ve completed the main story in Bleak Beach by waking Mosslax up.
Drinks are a far easier (but more limited) way to make a water source in Pokopia, as you can get them from vending machines daily, as a random item in the wild, or from the PC shop (usually from daily items). Your Pokemon might even hand you a drink or two to say thanks for being their best bud.

How to Move a Water Source in Pokopia
Once Ditto has a belly full of water from either using the Suck ability or having a drink, all you have to do is travel to the place you want to deposit it, then press the A button to move a water source in Pokopia. Make sure you’re spitting out the water in an enclosed area, so it doesn’t overflow and go everywhere.
The only time you don’t want to spit water into an enclosed area is when creating waterfalls, as you need to leave a gap off a cliff to let the water flow down.
How to Remove a Water Source in Pokopia
Removing a water source in Pokopia is as easy as pressing B to “Gulp” the water down after you’ve used the Suck ability in a body of water. Keep doing this until all the water has disappeared to completely remove a water source. Just make sure there are no gaps in the surrounding blocks that lead to water, or else more water will flow in as soon as you remove it.
