Rad-Hounds are Paradox Junction’s unique enemy type, and players can expect these brutal radioactive dogs to bite and poison them. Rad-Hounds are weak to the Shadow Rift Ammo Mod, and we’ll share both the Augments you should use and a few helpful tips to deal with them, right here in Black Ops 7.
With Shadow Rift, the Rad-Hounds are far easier to deal with thanks to the increase in damage that they will take. These enemies are already a pest due to their high speeds, so why not make quick work of them so that they can get put down faster than normal?

Augment |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Gravity Well (Major) |
Shadow Rift becomes a black hole that pulls in enemies, before teleporting away nearby enemy survivors. |
|
Haste (Minor) |
Shadow Rift’s cooldown is reduced. |
|
Supermassive (Minor) |
The singularity’s lethal radius is increased and can kill more enemies. |
When it comes to using Shadow Rift, you should focus on Augments that will quickly deal with enemies upon activation. Since Rad-Hounds are extremely fast, being able to turn Shadow Rift into a black hole to quickly deal with additional enemies is going to help keep these rabid mutts at bay.
When using an Ammo Mod, it’s always a good idea to use Elemental Pop with Vulnera Bean (Increases enemy elemental weakness damage), Chill Berry (Reduces Elemental Pop cooldowns), and Citrus Focus (Elemental Pop will only activate your equipped Ammo Mod).
If you’re struggling with how fast Rad-Hounds are, then make sure you have Stamin-Up. With Stamin-Up, Guns Up will allow you to fire while sprinting, and Footkwork ensures your non-forward sprinting speed is increased, meaning you can turn around, blast this dog in the face with bullets, and get back to training the horde.
Rad-Hounds should be the priority target when they spawn, as they can outrun normal zombies and they will persistently bite you to chip away at your health and your armor.
