Enchantments are a type of card upgrade in Slay the Spire 2. Unlike regular Smithing upgrades that you can do at Rest Sites, these ones are typically obtained via events or relics. Some Enchantments give your cards basic stat boosts, while others give them more interesting upgrades that can completely change how you play your deck. There are plenty of Enchantments in Slay the Spire 2, and below are all the ones we’ve encountered so far.
How to Use Slay the Spire 2 Console Commands
If you want to experiment with some fun stuff in Slay the Spire 2, here’s how you can enable cheats and other console commands.
How Do Enchantments Work in Slay the Spire 2?
Each card can take any sort of compatible Enchantment, but only one can be applied to any given card. The effects of these upgrades are fairly straightforward, and the game will tell you exactly what they do when you hover over them (the upgraded card, the relic, or the option containing the Enchantment’s tag).
Enchanted cards will have a small tag to the upper left of their border.
All Enchantments provide positive bonuses for your cards, though some carry with them drawbacks like additional HP or Energy costs. Afflictions are the opposite of Enchantments — instead of upgrading your card, they give them a negative effect, like being only able to play one card at a time, or causing you to take damage whenever you take a Power card. Afflictions are mainly obtained via enemy attacks and effects, and unless otherwise specified, they will disappear after the end of combat.

How to Get Enchantments
Unknown encounters (which appear as question marks on the map) have a chance to give you an event that can lead to Enchantments. Some Ancients (namely Nonupeipe) may offer you relics that grant you Enchantments in one way or another.
Keep in mind that you can run seeded Slay the Spire 2 runs. Seeded runs always have the same stuff you encountered before, and if you had a particularly good game and want to try out the same Enchantments but with different characters or builds, you can check your Run History in the Compendium and look for that run’s seed by checking the upper-right corner of the screen.
Before you can do seeded runs, you first need to unlock Custom mode by beating Act 3 three times. To start a seeded run, select Custom game instead of Standard or Daily, then type in the seed code in the text box above the Ascension selector.
