How to Open Unicorn Door in Resident Evil Requiem
When you’re playing Resident Evil Requiem as Grace, you’ll run into the Parlor door early while exploring the West Wing of the Care Center. It’s easy to spot thanks to the large unicorn engraving and the empty item slot beside it. To open the Parlor door, you need to find the Red Jewel hidden inside the Unicorn Trinket Box in the Chairman’s Office on the second floor of the Care Center’s West Wing.
How to Get the Pantry Key in Resident Evil Requiem (Can You Kill the Chef?)
If players want to unlock the Pantry to acquire an assortment of goodies, they’re going to need to know just where to get the Pantry Key.
Where to Find the Red Jewel in Resident Evil Requiem
Reach the Chairman’s Office
From the Parlor door, move deeper into the West Wing in Resident Evil Requiem. You’ll move through the Kitchen, where you’ll encounter the mutated Chef for the first time. This large brute is not someone you want to fight head-on early in the game. Instead, sneak around him and push the metal cart across the kitchen floor in stages when he isn’t looking. If he mutters “Wrong” or “Next,” back off toward the entrance and wait for another opening.
Once past the Kitchen, move through the Dining Room and into the hallway leading to the stairs.
Climb the staircase to reach the second floor. At the top, turn left and proceed through the hallway into the Bar & Lounge. Exit this area through the southern door and follow the hallway to the Chairman’s Office.
Get the Red Jewel from the Unicorn Trinket Box
Inside the Chairman’s Office, clear out any enemies first so it’s safe to start searching for the Red Jewel. Near the doorway, on a side table, you’ll find the Unicorn Trinket Box. It’s a silver box decorated with an ornate unicorn. Examine the box and open it to get the Red Jewel.
While you’re here, don’t forget to grab a Pencil in the back room that helps reveal the code order for the puzzle box. Entering the solution (Moon, Sun, Star, Moon) rewards you with the Moon Quartz. If you’re on the hunt for all three Quartz, check out our full guide here.
Open the Parlor Door
Once you have the Red Jewel, the Chef in the West Wing becomes more dangerous. You probably won’t have enough ammo to kill him comfortably at this point, so just try to move past him without getting cornered.
Interact with the Parlor Door and insert the Red Jewel into the empty slot. Doing so will unlock the door instantly.
What to Do Inside the Parlor?
Inside the Parlor, you’ll find the East Wing Keycard, multiple Antique coins, extra ammo and supplies. Make sure to grab the East Wing Keycard, found stuck in the hand of a severed arm underneath a table in the back-left corner of the room. You need this to access the East Wing and continue the main story.
You can spend the Antique Coins at the glass display cases on permanent upgrades for Grace, like the inventory expansion pouch.
