How to Restore PP in Pokemon Pokopia
In Pokemon Pokopia, you’ll be constantly using different moves to create new biomes, help Pokemon with their requests, or exploring new sections of the world. Much like in other Pokemon games, using these moves requires PP. However, in Pokemon Pokopia, this is a gauge that you can replenish, rather than being a set amount of points that depletes by one each time you use a move. In this guide, I’ll explain how to restore PP, so you can keep using moves without worrying about running out.
All Pokemon Pokopia Habitats and Requirements (Complete Habitat Dex List)
There are more than 200 habitats in Pokemon Pokopia. Here’s how to make them all.
How to Restore PP in Pokemon Pokopia
Your PP will naturally deplete every time you use moves like Water Gun, Rock Smash, and Cut. The more you use these moves, which you naturally will as you make your way through the game and complete requests, the faster you’ll deplete your PP gauge. To restore PP, you’ll need to eat food, rest, or use a healing machine at a Pokemon Center. The food you eat can be berries, vegetables, or cooked meals, courtesy of the recipes Chef Dente teaches you.
The easiest berries to find are the Lapin Berries, as they’re located on the trees you first come across when you start Pokemon Pokopia. For these, look out for any tree with apple-looking fruits on its branches. Walk over to them, and press A to headbutt the tree. This will cause the berries to drop, which you can then pick up and eat.
If you have berries or other food items in your inventory, press X to open your inventory and then select the food. Press A once it’s in your character’s hands, and you’ll eat it. Doing so should cause the PP gauge in the bottom right corner to be replenished slightly.
If you have a stack of berries, you can press and hold A when you’ve selected them from your inventory to immediately fully replenish your PP.
Once you’ve rebuilt a Pokemon Center, you can also visit it to recover PP by interacting with the healing machine. This can only be done once a day, however, so you’ll want to make sure you’ve got enough food to replenish your PP if you’re planning on having some marathon sessions.
You can also sit on a chair or lie in a bed, and this will very gradually replenish your PP, but it’s not worth the time it takes for how much you replenish.
How to Increase Max PP in Pokemon Pokopia
To increase your max PP in Pokopia, you’ll need to purchase the PP Up upgrade from the PC Shop. The first time you purchase it, it will cost you 300 coins and requires you to reach Environment Level 3.
Increasing your Environment Level requires you to create more biomes, unlock more Pokemon, and improve the comfort level of the Pokemon you’ve already found.
As soon as you’ve bought it, it will automatically be used, and you should find that your gauge will last that little bit longer as you use different moves throughout the game.
You’ll unlock more PP Ups from the shop as you progress through the game. These increase in price and will also require you to reach new Environment Levels.
