How to Get Eevee in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen
Eevee Location in FRLG
Trainers can obtain an Eevee for free from the top floor of the Celadon Mansion, which is located next to the Pokemon Center of Celadon City in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen.
To the right of the Celadon City Pokemon Center is a narrow path players can take to reach the back entrance of the neighboring building, called the Celadon Mansion (path shown in the screenshot above).
Inside, take the stairs to the top floor, and you’ll find a room on the rooftop. Enter the room and pick up the Poke Ball from the stool next to the martial arts NPC to obtain a free Eevee.

How to Evolve Eevee in FRLG
Eevee can evolve into Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen.
- Flareon: Eevee evolves into Flareon using a Fire Stone.
- Jolteon: Eevee evolves into Jolteon using a Thunder Stone.
- Vaporeon: Eevee evolves into Vaporeon using a Water Stone.
Fire Stones, Thunder Stones, and Water Stones can all be purchased at the Celadon Department Store’s fourth floor (4F) for 2,100 Poke Dollars each.
Alternatively, you can also get two free Fire Stones in Mt. Ember (Moltres), two free Thunder Stones in the Power Plant (Zapdos), and two free Water Stones in Seafoam Islands (Articuno).
Can You Evolve Eevee into Umbreon or Espeon in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen?
No, you cannot. Eevee evolves into Umbreon with high friendship at night, and it evolves into Espeon with high friendship during the day. However, since Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen do not have a day/night cycle or a clock setting like later Pokemon games do, it is not possible to fulfill the evolution requirements.
There is a system that allows players to transfer Umbreon and Espeon from other Pokemon games to FRLG, but as stated before, you cannot get these Eeveelutions naturally.
