By newsgame

Do you go with FireRed for powerful Pokemon like Arcanine and the very cool-looking Scizor? Or do you go with LeafGreen to get access to the strange-looking Grass/Poison-type, Victreebel, and the super cutesy Marill evolution line? It’s not easy!

With this guide, we’ll show readers all the key differences between Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen, as well as the version exclusives.

In Pokemon FireRed, you will also get access to an in-game trade with an NPC on Route 18 that wants a Golduck in exchange for their Lickitung. If you’re playing LeafGreen, the same NPC will want a Slowbro instead. There are also two other trades involving the male and female versions of Nidoran and Nidorina/Nidorino. The Pokemon you get, and the Pokemon that’s requested, will differ depending on your version.
