Following the anniversary update for Avowed, players are now able to play through the campaign again using their original characters with New Game Plus instead of starting all over again. Of course, your second run of the campaign will be a little different compared to the first; since you’re already a veritable problem solver at this point, your enemies will be much stronger than before, giving you the opportunity to further push the limits of your build. Here’s a rundown of what’s up in Avowed’s NG+ mode.
Avowed: 8 Best Skills To Unlock ASAP
Skill points are limited in Avowed, and as a result, knowing which abilities to invest in early on will have ripple effects throughout the whole game.
What’s New in Avowed New Game Plus?
There’s only one thing that’s different in Avowed’s New Game Plus mode, and that’s enemy strength. Every enemy in the game will be scaled up to match your level and more; not only do they all get increased stats, but some of them may also come with one of many different modifiers. These include:

What Do You Keep in Avowed New Game Plus?
Avowed’s New Game Plus is meant to give players the chance to continue building their character, which means everyone gets to keep the most significant aspects of their character once they start over. The full list of stuff you get to keep include:
- All Unique Weapons and Armor (but they are reset to Level 1)
- All unlocked Enchantments
- All unique gloves and boots
- All unlocked abilities (except for story-locked Godlike abilities)
- All spent attribute points
Meanwhile, all the following will not carry over to Avowed NG+ playthroughs:
- Gold
- Crafting and Upgrade Materials
- Enchanting Materials
- Food Ingredients
- Potions
- Food
- Quest items
- God totems & trinkets
- Fast travel points & exploration progress (fog of war)
- Companions
While you’ll start the game with all your precious gear, you’ll need to upgrade them again. Enemies will be balanced around this fact, though, so you don’t need to worry about your hits bouncing off or dealing no damage.
If you have already finished Avowed before, and you want to start NG+ with that character, load up a previous save and finish the game again from there.
