You will be making tools, materials, and useful items to help you progress and build a comfortable life. Crafting is so important that it is treated as a full profession, and Starsand Island even recommends choosing it first.

One of the early items you will need to make is Copper Ingots. During the tutorial, after choosing the crafting profession, you are asked to craft them so you can make a Skateboard. How to Get Copper Ingots in Starsand Island

To make a Copper Ingot, you will need the following ingredients:

4x Copper Ores
1x Charcoal

How to Get Copper in Starsand Island

Copper is an easy material to get early on. To get it, you should look for rocks that have orange gems embedded in them. I found plenty of these rocks just north of my home. When you find one, hit it with your pickaxe, and you will collect Copper.

How to Get Charcoal in Starsand Island

Charcoal is a little trickier to find. First, you need to make a Charcoal Kiln. To craft it, you will need x5 Stones, which you can get by smashing regular rocks, and then take those rocks to a Worktable. After, you can exchange x1 Softwood and x2 Fiber to the Charcoal Kiln to create Charooal.

Copper Ingots cannot be made at the worktable, only at a furnace. If you don’t have a Furnace yet, make one by using x5 Stones. Now, interact with it and select Copper Ingots. You will need three of them for the Skateboard. Each one takes only six seconds to make, and after that, you can collect them.
