ARC Raiders Players are Stuffing Their Rooms with Ducks

ARC Raiders players are cramming as many ducks into their rooms as they can. While the ducks have been available for display all along, a recent change has ARC Raiders celebrating with as many ducks as they can get their hands on.

ARC Raiders just got its 1.3.0 update, which made a number of balance changes and bug fixes to the game. While ensuring a game is running smoothly is important to all players, a single line in the patch notes hinted at a change being made to Raider Dens and ducks, and players are now having tons of fun with it.

ARC Raiders Players Go Crazy for Rubber Ducks

Following the release of the 1.3.0 update, players who have amassed large collections of rubber ducks in ARC Raiders have realized what the cryptic patch note meant. The limit on how many rubber ducks can be displayed has been dramatically increased, meaning those who have been collecting the ducks are now seeing just how many they have in the physical space of their Raider Dens. Players have been excitedly showing their Raider Dens off, with everything from a handful of ducks to over a hundred in their collections. This has led to some hilarious images being shared of some raiders sitting in their rooms absolutely surrounded by hordes of rubber ducks.

Collectibles and customization in games always tend to be popular features, but it’s likely that player demand led the developers to suddenly make this change. Players who collected the ducks were happy to see them in their rooms all along, but one player pointed out on Reddit that there was a shortcoming to the feature. This particular payer had amassed over 600 rubber ducks, showing them in their stash, but only nine ducks were actually shown in the room. As silly as it may seem, plenty of players chimed in that they wanted to see more ducks too, with over four thousand upvotes amassing on the original post. It seems the developers heard the feedback and made this change.

While ARC Raiders was lauded at launch, any live service game needs to pay attention to its community in order to maintain good will in the playerbase. Judging by the swift response to the player’s request, the team is doing a good job of listening to the audience. However, it may lead to endless duck demands, as players are now asking to see even more of them, or to allow for even more options, like being able to find and decorate with rubber ducks of different colors.
