Helldivers 2 celebrates its 2nd anniversary by giving players the chance to add a free new cape to their armory of fashion. If players want to get their hands on a rather cool cape that commemorates the second anniversary of the Second Galactic War, or they simply want to wear stylish gold, then they can find out how below.
With the war on Cyberstan raging on, Helldivers 2 hasn’t exactly had time to celebrate its 2nd anniversary, especially when the Automaton homeworld is putting up such a fight. Either way, players can take advantage of the patriotic generosity of Arrowhead (and Super Earth) by acquiring this free cape.

How to Get the Eye of Liberty Cape in Helldivers 2
When Does the Eye of Liberty Cape Release?
The Eye of Liberty Cape will be granted to all players who log in to Helldivers 2 between February 1st and February 28th, 23:59 CET. Essentially, you just need to log into Helldivers 2 once in the entire month of February 2026 to get the cape. However, the Eye of Liberty Cape is not granted immediately.
Players will receive the Eye of Liberty Cape on March 2, so don’t expect to log in and claim your bonus reward immediately, as this item won’t be available to you until the beginning of March. While you might want your cape right now, you’ll just have to wait a few more days, and in the meantime, continue to liberate Cyberstan!
If you have one player use the Eye of Liberty Cape (left), stand next to a player with the Eye of Freedom Cape (right), then it will combine to make a half-gold and half-silver Helldivers logo! Unfortunately, the Eye of Freedom Cape is exclusive to those who logged in during the 1-Year Anniversary.
