The Box’s Guardian Myth Guide in Nioh 3

By newsgame

The Guardian’s Box myth in Nioh 3 is one of the side quests in the Heian map. Unlike a lot of the quests that are marked on the map and the player simply has to talk to the NPC there, starting the Guardian’s Box is a bit different. The guide below offers a walkthrough for the whole quest as well as the rewards tied to it in Nioh 3.

Tired of fighting the Nurikabe walls in Nioh 3? Do not worry, as there is another way of opening these.

How to Start Guardian’s Box Myth in Nioh 3

To start the quest, you need to head south on the map. Inside the region of Hachijo is one of the barriers that you need to purify for the main mission. Explore Rajomon, clear out the enemies, and defeat the boss at the end to complete this part of the main objective.

Once this is done, you can fast travel to Rajomon: Suzaku Avenue and, from here, start running north. You will find a Wheelmonk on the way here that you can deal with, and afterwards go ahead to find an Onmyo mage on the ground asking for your help. Talk to him, and he will mention that some warriors stole a box from him.

Where to Find the Box in Nioh 3

Once the quest is started, head west until you spot a Spirit Vein. This will take you across to the other side, where you can head inside the building and interact with the red Bloody Grave to initiate a fight with the Demon Slayer.

You can summon another player using Ochoko Cups before the encounter to make this and the subsequent fight easier.

With the Demon Slayer defeated, interact with the chest to speak with Kurama Tengu. After the conversation, the Onmyo mage will appear, and you will have to fight a Ninja Yoki and a One-eyed Oni. Defeat both of them to complete the quest and receive some equipment, Ninja’s Locks, and Smithing Text: Brave Demon Hunter’s Armor.
