How to Sell Items in Heartopia (Settling Down Quest)
At some point in Heartopia, you’ll open your inventory and realize it’s a complete mess. Fish you caught early on, crafting materials, random items for Resident Requests you collected ages ago, and somehow, they are all still taking up space in your inventory. Even though the game gives you plenty of inventory space, it fills up faster than you’d expect.
Players can dump extra items in their house, but that only works for so long. Once you place the basics like a bed, stove, and crafting table, storage space starts to feel pretty tight, and your house can get messy fast. Instead of hoarding everything, it’s much smarter to sell the items you don’t need. It’s a simple way to clear space and earn Gold at the same time. Let’s go over how selling items works in Heartopia.
All Shopkeepers and What They Sell in Heartopia
Heartopia is filled with shopkeepers selling everything from seeds and outfits to vehicles and home decor. Here’s where you can find all of them.
How to Sell Items in Heartopia
To sell items in Heartopia, players will need to find an NPC named Albert Jr. He’s better known as the Gold Merchant, and he can buy almost anything you don’t need anymore in exchange for Gold. Early on, you will usually find Albert Jr. near your home, so you won’t have to go far to find him. If he’s not there, you can open your map and look for his icon to see where he’s currently located.

Once you find Albert Jr., walk up to him and select ‘Sell Items.’ This will open your inventory. From there, you can select the item you want to sell, its quantity, and confirm. Players will also be able to see the exact price they will get before they sell it.
Early in the game, there’s a quest called Settling Down that asks you to earn 1,200 Gold by selling fish or crops. This is usually the first time most players meet Albert Jr. Completing this quest will reward you with five Wishing Stars, 2,000 Gold, and 15 Contribution Medals.
