After being an instant Game of the Year contender following its May 2025 launch, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 felt like the quickest title ever to have its soundtrack become a “please release it on vinyl and take money” type request.
After all, as we mentioned in our IGN review of Expedition 33, it is quite the “evocative soundtrack”.
Across multiple retailers, including the IGN Store, the Clair Obscur vinyl is finally a reality that’s able to preorder right now in several varieties, including a CD version as well.
Specifically, the vinyl soundtrack is available in two versions: the 6LP (LP meaning ‘Long Play’ for vinyl newcomers) with 63 specially selected tracks, sequenced by Clair Obscur’s genius composer Lorien Testard, and the 2LP/Double LP versions with 20 tracks.
Each iteration of the vinyl comes with its own tracklist in the product description for you to check, but each will at least come with the game’s most iconic tracks like Une vie à t’aimer, In Lumière’s Name, and Lost Voice.
Pricing is where things can get a little bit tricky, since the cost of each vinyl and CD SKU for the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 soundtrack varies depending on the retailer and exclusive editions. No matter which one you buy, though, all have the same expected estimated release date of February 2026.
For instance, the IGN Store (which is owned by our Parent Company IGN Entertainment), was selling the exclusive black and gold galaxy effect variants of both the 6LP Vinyl and 2LP Vinyl for $155/£143 and $47/£44 respectively, before selling out of stock.
However, the IGN store still has the standard black versions of the 6LP Vinyl for $145/£134 and 2LP for $42/£39.
Laced Records, who specialises in physical music media, are taking preorders for the standard black vinyls too, both the 6LP set for $145/£115 and Double Vinyl for $42/£36. However, for the exact same prices, you can buy the versions with Laced’s own exclusive “multi-colour” galaxy effects, also in 6LP and Double LP.
The CD soundtrack for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 at Laced, an eight-CD set with a massive collection of 179 total tracks, is also available for $44/£40.
If you just want the complete standard black vinyl soundtrack for Clair Obscur at the best price, though, Amazon is selling the 6LP set for $154.99 in the US and £99.99 in the UK. The complete soundtrack is up for preorder on CD at Amazon at £44.99 in the UK, but there’s no sign of it at Amazon US just yet.
Also keep in mind that both the IGN Store and Laced Records have applicable delivery charges, depending on your region. So, check through all three options to decide which one is right for you, and get ready to enjoy one of the best recent video game soundtracks in vinyl or CD form when it gets shipped to you early next year.
Like the exclusive versions at the IGN Store, we expect the rest to sell out eventually, so secure yours now if you definitely want a copy.
