Sony Sues Tencent Over ‘Slavish’ Horizon Knock-Off – IGN Daily Fix

In today’s Daily Fix:

Sony is suing Tencent over the game Light of Motiram, which Sony claims is a rip-off of their Horizon franchise. Judging by the trailers only, it’s not hard to see why Sony is taking Tencent to court—the two games feature a red-haired female protagonist in similar outfits, a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by robot animals, and even similar font and key art. In other Sony news, August’s PS Plus games have been revealed, with Lies of P headlining the offerings. And finally, Mario Paint is back on a Nintendo console. Nintendo dropped the game on the Nintendo Switch Online service, and yes the Switch 2 version takes advantage of the new Joy-con’s mouse controls. Switch 1 owners can still play, provided they plug in a compatible USB mouse.
