The Biggest Trailers of San Diego Comic-Con | SDCC 2025


San Diego Comic-Con has come and gone, but it was a weekend filled with some truly remarkable trailers that have given us a sneak peek into the future of film, TV, and video games. From new looks at Gen V’s second season, Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, and more, there were a ton of reveals from all types of genres.

Peacemaker Season 2

Peacemaker’s second season will arrive on HBO Max on August 21 and will finally reveal how John Cena’s Chris Smith jumps from his old DCEU dimension and into the alternate DCU dimension. We get a glimpse of this in the trailer from SDCC, which also shows more of these new episodes that take place one month after the events of Superman.

Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires Exclusive Trailer

Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires is a new take on the Batman mythology that’s told through the lens of Mesoamerican culture in the 16th century. In this version, young Aztec boy Yohualli Coatl’s father is murdered by Spanish conquistadors and he is forced to escape to Tenochtitlán to warn King Moctezuma and his high priest, Yoka, of the danger that has arrived. While on his journey, he will train in the temple of the bat god Tzinacan so he can avenge his father’s death, he’ll encounter Jaguar Woman and Forest Ivy, and much more.

Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires will be available in the US exclusively on digital on September 19 and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on September 23.

Welcome to Derry

Welcome to Derry’s SDCC trailer gives us another haunting look into the IT prequel series that is set in 1962 and explores the origins of how IT came to take the form of Pennywise the Clown. Welcome to Derry arrives on HBO Max in October 2025.

Spinal Tap II: The End Continues Official Trailer

Spinal Tap II: The End Continues picks up 41 years after the original and follows the now estranged bandmates David St. Hubbins, Nigel Tufnel, and Derek Smalls as they are forced to reunite for one final concert. Along the way, documentarian Marty Di Bergi returns and once again “tries to capture his favorite metal gods as they contemplate mortality – and the hope that their 12th drummer doesn’t join them in The Great Beyond.”

Spinal Tap II: The End Continues will be released in theaters on September 12, 2025, and stars Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, Fran Drescher, Paul Shaffer, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Questlove, and Chris Addison. Rob Reiner directs once again.

Alien: Rogue Incursion – Part One: Evolved Edition Official Trailer

Alien: Rogue Incursion – Part One: Evolved Edition is the non-VR version of the Alien game that puts players in the shoes of ex-Colonial Marine Zula Hendricks. As one might expect, this adventure is anything but safe and will take us to the uncharted planet of Purdan to face the “most cunning Xenomorphs ever encountered.”

Alien: Rogue Incursion – Part One: Evolved Edition will be released on September 30, 2025.

Invincible VS – Official Battle Beast Gameplay Trailer

SDCC revealed a new look at Battle Beast’s gameplay from Invincible VS, the upcoming fighting game based on the Invincible IP from Quarter Up. Battle Beast has a fast-paced and hard-hitting combat style and he’ll be part of the roster when Invincible VS launches in 2026.

Gen V – Official Season 2 Trailer

Gen V, The Boys spin-off set to return on September 7 on Prime Video, revealed its official Season 2 trailer at SDCC. The new footage showcases how it will feed directly into the final chapter of The Boys, including featuring characters like Starlight, Black Noir, and The Deep. And yes, we’ll also see how our cast reacts to Homelander pretty much being in charge of the country and a new Dean at the school.

The Mighty Nein – Official S1 Sneak Peek

Critical Role’s The Mighty Nein is an hour-long new animated series that “follows a group of fugitives and outcasts, bound by secrets and scars.” In this world, a powerful arcane relic known as “The Beacon” falls into hands that should never have a hold of it, and our characters must band together to “save the realm and stop reality itself from unraveling.”

The Mighty Nein will arrive on Prime Video on November 19, 2025.

Shin Godzilla: North American Re-Release Trailer

Shin Godzilla is returning to theaters on August 14 in its original Japanese language with subtitles, and it includes restored text cards and a 4K remaster that’s never been seen before in North America. First released in 2016, Shin Godzilla is the 29th film in Toho’s Godzilla franchise and follows a task force organized by the Japanese government trying to combat a monster that appears to be evolving.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians – Offical Season 2 Teaser Trailer

Percy Jackson and the Olympians returns to Disney+ on December 10, 2025, and this new season will be based on Rick Riordan’s novel, The Sea of Monsters. Percy is back at Camp Half-Blood a year after the events of Season 2 and finds everything is changing. He doesn’t have the same relationship with Annabeth, he learns he has a cyclops for a brother, Grover is missing, and the forces of Kronos are threatening the camp. In a quest to resolve all these issues and more, Percy’s journey will “take him off the map and into the deadly Sea of Monsters, where a secret fate awaits the son of Poseidon.”

The Long Walk – Official Trailer 2

SDCC gifted the world with the second trailer for The Long Walk, the action thriller based on the novel by Stephen King. For those unfamiliar, The Long Walk sees a group of young men traveling across the country. The only problem is that they can’t stop moving or “lethal consequences will come to pass.” The Long Walk debuts in theaters on September 12, 2025, and stars Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Ben Wang, Charlie Plummer, Garrett Wareing, Tut Nyuot, Judy Greer, and Mark Hamill.

Scott Pilgrim EX – Official Gameplay Trailer

Check out a brand-new gameplay trailer for Scott Pilgrim EX, the 2D action-adventure pixel-based game developed by Tribute Games that is set to be released in 2026. During this tale, Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers will embark on a “grand adventure to fight from the edges of space to the streets of Toronto.”

Silent Night, Deadly Night: Exclusive Trailer

Mike P. Nelson’s Silent Night, Deadly Night is a reimagining of the controversial 1984 cult horror classic and once again follows Billy, who sadly has a front row seat to the murder of his parents on Christmas Eve by none other than Santa Claus. In response, he makes it his life’s mission to spread holiday fear instead of cheer to “feed his twisted sense of justice.”

Silent Night, Deadly Night will be released in theaters on December 12, 2025.

The Legend of Vox Machina – Official S4 Sneak Peek

The Legend of Vox Machina returns for its fourth season in 2026 and finds our heroes scattered all over the world on their own adventures. That doesn’t last for long, however, as a “cataclysmic threat befalls Exandria” and forces them to regroup and prepare to face a “foe darker than they could imagine.”

Toxic Crusaders – Official Release Date Trailer

The Toxic Crusaders are back and are ready to defend Tromaville against the evil Dr. Killemoff and his army of Radiation Rangers. When Toxic Crusaders is released on December 4, 2025, you’ll be able to grab up to three other friends and play one of seven characters to take on the forces of Smogula.

Spartacus: House of Ashur – Red Band Trailer

Spartacus: House of Ashur is the next take on the series that began on Starz in 2010 and promises to be a “thrilling, erotic, history-bending, roller-coaster experience.” In this alternate timeline, Ashur does not die and is no longer a slave. Now, he was gifted the Gladiator school from the Romans that once owned him, and he must navigate the world of Roman politics, managing the school, and highlighting Achillia – a “fierce and powerful gladiatrix eager to prove herself worthy in a man’s world.”

Spartacus: House of Ashur will debut in Winter 2025.

American Caper Exclusive Trailer

Dark Horse and Absurd Ventures are teaming up for American Caper, a new crime fiction comic series created and written by Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption’s Dan Houser. This tale, set in Verona, Wyoming, is of “two totally normal, completely damaged families in a world of corrupt business, inept politics, bungling crime, leisure wear, and self-righteous justice.”

Invincible VS – Official Battle Beast Developer Fighter Deep Dive Trailer

Get a deeper look into Battle Beast from Invincible VS and learn how the character has an aggressive style of fighting that starts off more reserved and continues to escalate to increasingly brutal levels. Invincible will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in 2026.
