Aztec Batman: Clash Of Empires Is Essentially a Reimagining of The Dark Knight | SDCC 2025


IGN talked with voice actors, Horacio García Rojas (Yohualli/Batman) and Raymond Cruz (Yoka/Joker) at San Diego Comic Con 2025 to talk about the upcoming animated DC film, Batman Azteca: Choque de Imperios (Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires). From Warner Bros. Animation, Ánima and Chatrone, and directed by Juan Meza-Léon, the all-new animated film places the iconic DC Superhero against the backdrop of the captivating history of Mexico.

The Spanish audio version of the film features Mexican talent including Horacio García Rojas, Omar Chaparro, and Álvaro Morte.  The English voice cast features Jay Hernandez (Magnum P.I., Suicide Squad) and Raymond Cruz (Sons of Anarchy, The Mayans, Better Call Saul).

In the US, Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires will be available on September 19 on Digital from Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play, Fandango at Home and more. The film will be available to purchase on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD online and in-store at major retailers on September 23.

The film will be available in both Spanish and English-language versions.
